Popeye the Sailor Fried Chicken

I just reached home from Ice Age 3. Is it me or the movie is quite boring. Maybe it's always about the big mammoth always saving other creature's life. There are a few funny scenes though. I think it's better than Ice Age 2. Next movie will be Harry Porter :) This time I'll be watching with my collegues after work on Saturday, I guess. The main organizer will be me and David. Hehe. Anybody want to join?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday is my off day but I went back to the office for one problematic case. Somehow, it has created a lot of problems to us. When I reached the office, there were a lot of discharge files piling up on the table. So I stayed back till 7pm to help clear off all the files.

Anyway, I went to this new place with Alex for lunch. I read about this place in other blog and it sounds kind of nice. It's called Popeye, located in TTDI. It's concept is quite similar to KFC.

This is what we ordered. A chicken set and a fish & shrimp set. The number is for our fish & shrimp. Let's start with the chicken first.

In my opinion, each piece of chicken is quite big in size. We ordered 3 pieces of chicken and luckily there is one chicken breast for me among them. Hehe. I can't really differentiate the spicy from the non spicy because the colour is exactly the same ( it is either that or I'm colour blind!! ). The taste, well, I would think that it' so-so only. KFC is still way better. Maybe it's because the flying flour is tasteless. But, the chicken breast meat is quite juicy. Unlike certain chicken breast that is very hard and dry.

Tadaaaa. The fish and shrimp set. I prefer this than the chicken, although the batter is still the same for both chicken and fish. The prawns were extremely fresh though. I think SW can take this one. Hehe. Ohhh yeah, I forgot to introduce the cookie. In our opinion, it's actually more like a bun than a cookie but it's really really good when it's warm. Something similar to those bread found in Tony Romas. Each set comes with coleslaw and mashed potato. The coleslaw taste a bit weird, maybe it's because they put pickle into it. The mashed potato is really really good. The gravy has some minced meat in it. Yummy :)

After lunch, both of us went to this place for drinks. It's called Food Foundry. The interior of the restaurant is really nice. Perfect for drinks with a group of friends and in my case, gossips session with my gals :) I miss them so much alrady. Each of them are busy with their own stuff. Haihhh....

The menu. Their menu is actually quite cute. It's like those chart that you can find in hospitals, hanging at the end of patient's bed. Then the nurse/doctor will have to flip the paper upwards to write patient's stats on it. Ahhh, you know what I mean :)
The first thing that attracted both of my eyes when I entered the restaurant was this...

CREPPE!!!! Omg. I am always craving for the one that I had in Malacca and I'm very happy to found this in KL too. BUT!!!! The one in Malacca is still the best, so far. The one in Food Foundry, well, for me it's not soft enough. I browsed through the menu and found a few interesting food. Will be there again for their main course though :)

New Adventure of Japanese Food

Last weekend and today were all about food. Visited the char siew place again. It was still as nice as last time though. The standard of the chewy, sticky and sweet char siew never drop. Amazing :P

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over the weekend, watched Dance Subaru and Transformers. I would say Dance Subaru is only average. There were moments where I would say "Huh??? That's all??". Hehe. Transformers is just awesome. Really really good. There may be a second round and third round for me though :) Hehe. I watched Initial D twice last time. There were other movies which I watch it in the cinema for more than once but I just forgot their name. Anyway, Megan Fox is really really really pretty and hot. There were a few scenes where you can see her close up and .... it's really breath taking. I am no lesbian but I do enjoy looking at pretty things (or in this case, human being) okay. This episode is more about machines fighting and I came out with a few conclusions.
1. The bad machines are all black/grey in colour while the hero like Optimus and Bumblebee are colourful. I think it's easier to differentiate between the good machine and the bad machine while they are fighting. None of them even bleed a little.
2. No matter how many times the land was bombed, the number of army maintained at the end of the battle, which means nobody died.
3. (This is from Vince) How on earth can a small car like Bumblebee transforms into a machine that is 2 storey tall?? Hmmm.... Cute :p

After reading much negative comment about SushiGroove and Yo!Sushi, this is the first time I gave SushiGroove a chance to prove that what I read and heard about the restaurant was wrong. You see, everything I read (forum, blog) and what I heard from friends, both of this restaurant are not really good. But, Alfred was the first one that said SushiGroove is actually not bad. Since I always visit Sushi Zanmai quite often and I have no idea what else to order there, I've decided to visit SushiGroove before the movie last weekend with him. Below are the food that 2 person ordered -_-"

Frankly speaking, I don't belive that both of us could finish all the food in one meal. Well ... he finished most of it. I could hardly stuff my stomach with anymore food that day. Hehe. Overall, the food there were quite nice. Not too bad, I would rate it average though. The service there is kind of weird, for me. Hehe. So it would be fair if I give Yo!Sushi a chance. Hehe. That will be my next destination for Japanese food.

Ohh, I managed to get myself a dress for the family potrait this coming Thursday. Managed to get another dress and 2 belts too :) I shouldn't be spending so much. I have to save for my upcoming trip. Obtained a lot of tips from Janice who went there with her family around April. Really useful tips, especially for shopping. Hehe. I'm so excited about the upcoming trip :)
Got to sleep now.

James is not so Bond anymore

So, I've watched James Bond last Friday with Mervyn. To be honest, I'm not really amazed by the movie. First of all, not much high tech gadgets. Only the car at the opening was nice. Too bad it was badly damaged. Haiz... What a waste :p

The only thing that amazed me was the table-computer thinggy. Hehe. No idea what it is called though. Bond girl was (or is it were??? 1 or 2) not really pretty. One of them somehow reminds me of the girl in Mr Bean's movie. Hehe. The vehicles that were used are an old Volksvagon which looks like a beetle, an old sampan with motor (haha) and a plane that looks like made of aluminium foil. Hmm... I guess that's it. Hehe.

BUT..... I still love James Bond :) Especially the blue eyes and the hot body.

Okay. Seriously, I don't think this movie is worth all hours of lining up just to get the movie.

Was supposed to watch Madagascar yesterday but we're too lazy to line up to buy the movie tickets. Hence, we went for shopping instead. And I bought a pair of heels. Me likey :) bought a skirt and top for work too. Wanted to go Bangsar again to shop today but then nobody to go with :( I'm depressed for not getting my shopping therapy :(

Well, at least I spent the day with Baby. I'm watching tv while she's sleeping by my side. Guess she will never let me down when I needed someone to accompany me. Hehe. Thank you Baby :)

I still haven't get photos for my birthday dinner from Pui See yet. Jullian uploaded all the photos into Facebook edi. Hehe. Thank you very much Jullian.

It looks like going to rain. Please do rain.... Me likey rain :)
