6 to 10 Grill

Last Saturday, we went for girls makan and gossip gathering at Happy Palace ( ... I think that's the name ) at this place call 6 to 10 Grill ( ... I think that's the name also ... haha ). The reason why I am not sure of the restaurant name is because all this while I thought that we will be eating at Food Foundry. I am like damn excited. Mana tau, when I'm looking for a parking space, they said change location. This place is just behind Food Foundry but at the other end. Furthermore, due to certain *ahem* blurness of Ms Cheong, I have to go pick up Ms Chong. Haha. Anyway, it's good that I went to fetch Pui See because Wai Leng can drive Pui See's car to that place. Anyway, below are photos of food for the night.

Pork Chop = not nice. Very very hard.

Nasi Lemak with sotong and don't know what. Haha. The thing on the top left corner is minced pork with something. Haha. I really have no idea what it is leh. But it's good though.

My mushroom and chicken soup with SPRING ONION ( thank you Rachel ). We, especially me, found it funny that they put spring onion on the soup. I mean spring onions are mostly found in chinese cuisine and chicken and mushroom soup is western. This is a fusion soup!!! Hahahaha. Okay, enough madness. Let's continue.

Special chicken chop = I really can't find anything special about it though. But it's better than the pork chop. Haha.

This will be grilled chicken chop. So so only....

This is my grilled dory fish with butter and lemon sauce. I love this dish very much mainly it's because of the sauce. At first it tasted a bit weird but then if eat together with the tasteless dory fish fillet, it's actually a great combination. Hehe. Wai Leng who came late ordered the same thing too.

That's all for the food session. Due to time factor and the fact that TW is driving that day, plus Wai Leng and Pui See have to rush back to work, we ended the dinner early. Haihhh....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went all the way to Saujana Impian for this...

STEAMBOAT!!! Actually the story is like this. Dad tells daughter want to eat steamboat but don't want to eat the one that we always eat that one. So daughter went online and found 2 places. One is at Sri Petaling and another one is at Bangsar. Daughter went down to the living room and found dad sleeping soundly while mum solving sudoku riddle. Daughter inform mum that found 2 places to eat steamboat and dad woke up. Mum suggested to visit uncle at Saujana Impian for dinner because need to pass him this ....

FAMILY POTRAIT!!! Let me introduce one by one.
First row standing left to right = Dad, Ku Ma, Pak Pak
Second row = Ah Ku, Ah Ma, Ah Yeh, 3 suk

There. Those are the Ho family like 30 years ago. My dad is so super thin. Gosh.... But still handsome. Haha.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today is my second and last off day of the week. Basically, I spent my off day growing wild mushrooms. Haha. Had this for breakfast...

Peanut butter bun... something like that. Haha. It was really nice though. Not sweet at all because the peanut butter is really very thinly spread.

This is Baby on the way home from vet. She is looking tired and happy and thirsty at the same time. Dr Ben said she did everything. Urine and shit. Haha. Naughty girl!!

July Dress

I'm super tired. I nealry fell asleep during work today due to the low temperature in the office. It was cloudy outside too. Just the perfect time for a quick nap. Kelvin who was sitting opposite me noticed my heavy eyelids too! I offered him a chance to do something fun. Slap me twice to wake me up!! Haha. The man power was quite abundant in the office today but then I have no idea why am I so tired. Mentally exhausted, I guess. Hehe :)

I am on a very important quest. Mission. Target. I have no achieve it before end of the this month.

need to get a pretty yet simple but adorable and affordable dress to family potrait.

Haha. I know it sounds silly. Taking family potrait is one of my weakness. I will laugh. I mean really laugh. Everyone should be smiling but I will burst into laughter. I hope that the cameraman will have a lot of patience with me. None of my family member could remember the previous family potrait experience. Haha. But everyone turned out looking really good, except me. It's very obvious that I'm trying really hard to stop myself from laughing. My urge to laughter can spread to other people as well. Sis already warned Brandon kor kor that taking family potrait with me might be longer than normal. Hehe.

Anyway, I have to get a dress for myself. Preferably knee length. Can't be too expensive cause I'm saving up for my trip later this year. But it has to be pretty at the same time okay :) At the same time, I have lose some weight so that I won't look like a bloating human being in the photos. These photos might be turned into slideshows during my sis's wedding dinner. A lot of people will be there. Sis even suggested to put photos of me when I'm young in the slide show as well with a bright arrow pointing at the photo to indicate that's me. Some of my colleagues will be attending the dinner as well. That would be .... horrible! Maybe I should hide all those photos. Hehe :) I look too cute, some of you will be jealous and wonders how I can maintain my cuteness after 23 years :)

Wish me luck in the search of the ultimate simple July dress :)

Babe Jinee :)

A sweet sweet sweet sweet girl gave me this last night..

My first thought was food because she said something like if I don't go get it yesterday, it might turn bad. So I basically reminded myself whole day yesterday about Jinee Jinee Jinee Jinee Jinee. Haha. When I opened the brown paper bag and the box inside...

Awww... isn't it cute? Pink cupcake. She said she thought of me when she's getting these cut things. She's so sweet right? Anyway, the cupcake tasted really good. Thank you very much babe. You made my day :)

Last Thursday was mummy dearest's birthday. Dad don't like Japanese food and both of them agreed that Western food is a no-no. Mum wanted something like Pasta Zanmai initially but I have no idea how we ended up near Subang Airport for seafood. Haha. That was my first visit there and suddenly I don't feel like going back Teluk Gong anymore. Haha. The seafood there were amazingly fresh and the price.. well not too expensive in my opinion considering the variety of food that we ordered that night.

This has to be the most fresh prawn that I ever have up to this moment. It's really really good. You have to trust me on this :)

Huge clams with tiny crabs inside it. I don't think those crabs are edible though. But the clams were quite good. The only thing that I don't like will be the soup. It's a bit.. too .. erm .. spicy?? Or it doesn't really went well with the clams.
We ordered escargots and crabs that night but no photo because was too busy eating. Haha. Definitely will visit there again. Haha. Anybody up to good seafood??
The other day, SW brought me to Bukit Jalil because he said there's a funfair there. I have never been to one so I quickly said yes when he suggested that place.
We parked near the stadium and when we got off the car, we heard really loud music coming out from the stadium. A familiar voice filled the whole stadium. It was actually Lee Hom. He was doing rehearsal in the stadium and me and SW were there to listen. All of a sudden, both of us have the urge to watch his concert. Lee Hom is damn cute and handsome okay. Like super talented as well. ME WANT!! :(
Anyway, back to the funfair. There were a lot of fun rides and small booths for games.

This ride attracted me and SW's attention. If I wasn't wearing a dress that day, we would have take this ride. Scary but fun at the same time. I'm a big fan of extreme rides like this but my attire for the day is a big NO-NO.
Being the first timer to a funfair, I found these booths very very .. ermm .. cute but disturbing. Haha.

Don't this look like a place where the bears were hung until they went out of breath. It is so scary that I don't even dare to go close the booth.

This is the Pooh Bear version of the scary booth earlier. Scary isn't it?!?!?!

Hahahahaha. I found this booth most funny of all. NEMO!!! But then pay attention to the eyes. They looked a bit weird, as if they were protruding. Haha. Scary looking Nemos I have to say.

Cute yellow duckies going round and round and round. There is a number underneath each ducky. They have this special net that the player can use to pick a ducky up to reveal the number underneath. Hehe. So cute!!!

That's all for this week.
122 days to go!

Happy Birthday Daddy..

My dad's birthday falls on 1st of January. This year, since both me and sis were working, we've decided to treat the family for dinner. We scratched our head to choose the perfect place that suits both mom and dad. Finally, dad made the final decision but it's my suggestion though :) hehe. I suggested Tony Roma since dad wanted to have Western food. So we had our dinner there together with Kau Fu and family. Kitt-y and Brandon were there too.

I ordered burger that night and the onion was really good. According to comments from mom and dad, the food was too pricey and not really good. Dad still prefer The Ship. Well, at least we know where to eat next year. Hehe.

The Ho family with new hairstyle (except Mr Ho). Hehe. I think my face features were exactly like dad. It's like a stamp. No wonder dad's friend whom I do not know will know I'm my dad's daughter. They always say "This must be Sammy Ho's daughter. The face so alike." Haha.

My cousins with my parents. Time really flies. Both of them are so big already and Shee Ee is already Form 1 this year. No more Standard 4, 5 or 6. Which means I'm getting older :( but still that cute. HAHAHAHA!!!

The staff singing a Birthday song for my dad. There is this mini birthday cake which is absolutely delicious and it's free. Haha.

Chocolate brownies with ice cream on top. According to mum, this was the best dish for the whole dinner. Haha. Maybe it's because mum don't eat beef. The steaks there were really good. If you are lucky, you will get this juicy steak as your meal. Hehe.

They gave this card to my dad. It's so nice of them because every staff signed on the card. Furthermore, there are no expiry date for the offer. Haha. Means I can still keep this card for a while before actually using it.

They even stick a Tony Romas sticker on my credit card. So the next time I dine at Tony Romas and swipe that card, I will get 10% off my bill. Kind of good actually but that means I will have to pay for the bill. Haha.

I moved back to my own room. My house looks so much better now after applying on a new "skin". Hehe. I think next week, I will have some new furniture in my room and my study table will be sent away. Which means I will have more space in my room. Hope to get a bigger wardrobe though as I do not have enough space anymore to hang my clothes. That is because I have working clothes and casual clothes now okay. And I wanted to get some new clothes too. Have been surfing some boutique's website these few days and some of the clothes are really gorgeous. Oh yeah, I think a found a place to buy my next dinner dress. Hehe. Hopefully I will be able to find my dream dress there.

Chinese New Year is getting very near. Can't wait for the family reunion again but this time, Ku Ma will not be going back to Ipoh. Which means Ah Ku and family will not be back too. Haiz.. It's okay. I can still go Singapore to visit them. Hehe.

Oh, got to stop now.

Cheaters

William : Yeah... influenced by you. Haha.
cg : You ar .... the blur blur and weird weird and naughty naughty one lor.... what else??
mktan : You are talking about the morning one or evening one or both? Hehe. I heard you are back eh? Oh, my friend said he read it from some chinese newspaper. Agree with your logic thinking but what if the uncles that want such services, the secret weapon cannot stand edi? Maybe just touch touch will do... HAHAHAHA!!! Wai Leng teach me one :P

2 poh and 2 kong from Ipoh visited us yesterday since both of their children are studying in KL now. We went to Port Klang for dinner. Long way drive there just for the seafood. Haha. During dinner, the main topic of chatting was the newest tricks people used to cheat other people's money. The most "in" method nowadays is through hynotize a person and ask for valuebles. They said that there were those lady from China or others who would approach you and ask you anything. Once you stare into her eyes or answer her or she managed to hold any part of the body (please don't think hamsup part okay), you will be hynoptize and will follow every single instruction that she has given you. Even though if she ask you to give her all your money and at that time you don't have money, she will ask you go home and search for valuebles and pass it to her. Those examples are really scary. Whatever excuses that they use to approach you are very common-everyday-life-questions. "Excuse me, how do I get to this place?", "Excuse me, your bag/shoes/whatever on you is very nice. Where did you get it?", "I need your help in ... Can you help me?", "Do you have small change?" and etc. Normally, I would answer/help them if I know the answer or I'm capable of helping. But mom always tell me stories about such cases and warned me never talk to strangers especially when I'm alone. When someone talk to you, it is better if you just walk away from the different direction. If they chase you, run!! Haha. Sounds funny but in Ipoh there were cases where children are involved. 2 women and 1 child went around different places in Ipoh to cheat money. If you are hynoptize, you will only become conscious when someone call your name or the person who hynoptize you are no longer left.

Second method, where my mum and dad nearly kena and grandma kena is where people come into your house, ask you simple questions. After that they will tell you that you won prizes. Will ask you to let them in the house or give them some money so that they can give you the prize money. In mum and dad case, they said they don't want the prize and let them have the prize. My grandmother who is not so fortunate has been cheated of money. They usually target housewives and old people. So mum said next time when anybody calling from the gate, just pretend that they are nobody home and don't answer. They will leave eventually.

Third method is similar in second method but involves sms and phone calls. I've received one phone call where a woman who claims that she's calling from China and asked me something. Due to my banana-ness, I have no idea what she is saying so I hung up like 10 seconds later. Before that, I heard about such cases from friends, mum (of course) and read about similar case in Kenny Sia's blog. They will ask ask ask and ask you to deposit money into xxx account then you will get some prize.

I really wonder why do people trust such things cause if you won something, you should get it and you don't have to pay for anything. These cheaters know a few facts. People are greedy and stupid at the same time. Hence, they will attack us from these two factors. Maybe the word "prizes" and "win" are 2 powerful words where people will do anything to get them. But can't blame most of the poeple, especially old people like my grandparents. Sometimes they are just blur and don't know much about anything. They are easily convinced because most of the time, these cheaters are very professional in their things till they can talk very professionally and confidently. Aihh.... just hope that no one I know will be victims of such cases anymore. Please be careful ya!!!

And to those cheaters, I hope that you can sleep well everynight since you are taking something that people work very hard to earn and keep. Don't take people's kindness and sympathy to you for granted. What goes around, comes around.

Got to study for Pharmaco lab test.
