Singapore 2010

Hi people. Finally, I am able to blog about my Singapore trip with Calvin, sis and Brandon koko. Hehe. It was a short trip to Singapore with the heart all set for Universal Studio. But then didn’t manage to go in. Haihhhhh……

We took the night flight from LCCT to Singapore Budget Airport.

These were mine and Calvin’s. Backpacks with a sling bag and camera bag. Just nice for a short trip and convenient to carry since we’re catching a flight there and taking a bus back to KL.

The flight was really short. I think around 30 minutes or so. Ku cheong picked us up from the airport and brought us to eat supper. I was more tired that hungry so didn’t eat much. Hehe.

 

The next morning,

Saw a really beautiful white house just opposite my aunty’s house. According to her, there is only 1 person living at that 3 storeys bungalow!! Such a big house with only 1 person living in it? Tsk tsk tsk. Must be super damn rich eh? The weird thing is the car porch is very big but the owner prefer to park the car outside of the car porch (by the roadside). Haha.

Early in the morning received news that the tickets to Universal Studio were all sold out! Sis checked the through the internet and found out that there’s no online purchase facility. But Roger koko went online and checked only to realise that actually the tickets can be purchased online. Maybe both my sis and Roger koko logged into different website, hence the different information. We went to Sentosa anyway with Jolene and Jayna.

 

The casino!! We didn’t went in because none of us were interested to gamble or even see the casino. I bet it’s really crowded cause I can see troops of Chinese tourist from China standing at the entrance. Eee….. Hate crowded place.

We went to the Universal Studio entrance just to have a look.

And spotted a marriage proposal. But why are the girls in the same shirt design? Is it a surprise or planned proposal? I wonder ….. Hehe. Anyway, congratulations. Check out the huge diamond ring!!!

We passed by a shop selling pop corn and went in because we need air cond!!

They have are selling popcorns in a few different flavours.

 

We mixed cheese and caramel together. I prefer the caramel though. Not too sweet. The cheese ones were very oily. Very very oily. Hehe.

We went over to the Underwater world and bought a package to visit all the aquatic places and butterfly park. Less scary and suitable for the young ones.

Before that, we went into 7-eleven to get cold drinks. It’s really hot and dry that day. All of us sweat like pigs. Haha.

I found these Quick Bites at the fridge rack. Tempted to try one but then was very full at that time. But it’s really convenient. Just put it into the microwave and press the button indicated at the cover. Wait till you hear the microwave’s “ting” sound before taking it out. They have nearly everything. Yong Chow Fried Rice, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Fishball Mee Pok, Nasi Lemak and others. I’m amazed. Why KL don’t have one :(

We went over to the Underwater World and waited for the Sealion show. Swimming in the huge pool are…

2 pink dolphins. It’s really pink in colour. Don’t ask me why are the dolphins pink but it’s not totally pink in colour. Just some part of the body is pink in colour. It’s really hard to explain but trust me, the dolphins are really pink in colour. Haha.

While Brandon koko received cooling treatment from Jayna and Jolene. Check out his face expression. Just like a king with 2 servants at the side. Haha.

 

The show began. I think they are really cute. Can I keep on as my pet please? Hehe.

After the show ended, we headed to the Indoor Aquarium.

 

We stood at the flat elevator which will bring us round and round at the huge aquarium filled with sharks, stingray, big fish, small fish and medium fish. Haha. It’s a little creepy because the sharks were swimming very fast round and round the aquarium.

After that, we headed out again for the dolphin show.

It’s really a short and brief show but fun to watch. Can I have a pink dolphin as well, please? Hehe.

 

We have to walk a big round before reaching the butterfly park. We have to pass by…

Tired of walking, we took the cable car up the hill as the butterfly park is at the top of the hill.

Jayna looked very scared where she gripped the handle in front of here very tightly. Haha. Kesian…

We reached the butterfly park. Seriously, there’s not much butterflies inside. But it’s hard to find a butterfly this big nowadays.

There’s this beautiful bird inside the butterfly park as well. So pretty :)

 

Next to the butterfly park is the home for the parrots. They made really loud voices which can be heard from far. I like the white and the tiny yellow one. So cute :)

After that, we headed home cause it’s getting late and we are going to the town for Teo Chew food for dinner. Absolutely yummy. Hehe. After dad, we went to the Merlion to take photos and walk around.

Both Calvin and sis busy snapping here and there while I busy snapping them snapping photos. Haha. The sky was very clear that night.

So clear that we can see the full moon :)

 

And then everybody took photos of the moon as well. Haha.

 

Calvin loves the moon very much that we must include her in our photographs. It’s really round and pretty.

 

We walked through the Helix bridge to visit the newly opened casino and hotel.

The bridge is very beautiful. But it’s not fully opened yet. The other end was still close for the as it’s actually attached to another building but the building is not complete yet.

 

The hotel is really really tall. I think the top is a roof garden. I bet it’s very beautiful up there. I wanna go :(

 

After that, we took a taxi and headed to Ponggol for nasi lemak. Heart that it’s very famous. The taxi ride was fun because the driver drove really fast and we went into an underground tunnel. The underground tunnels in Singapore are very wide. It spanned about 4 to 5 lines and very brightly lit.

The nasi lemak is like the chinese nasi lemak in KL but the sambal is sweet with a little bit spicy only. Me and Calvin shared this plate of nasi lemak because the both of us are still very full. After supper, we headed home to sleep.

 

On the next day, we headed to the town for shopping.

 

And I saw…

The a beautiful bag. Haha. I mean the pink one okay. But the one I wanted to get is the most beautiful bag in the world okay….. But I cannot get it. Why? You will know it on the Europe trip entry later. Haihhh… sad story.

 

The ion shopping centre is very pretty. But it is also the house for all the branded and expensive brand. Some I have never even heard of. We headed to other shopping centre along Orchard Road for shopping.

We headed to Bugis after that.

It is like Petaling Street China Town but it’s covered and ….. it’s air conditioned!! Bought a few tops there. Happy happy :)

This is my favourite snack in Singapore. It sells Japanese style satay. My favourite will be the chicken skin. Yummy yummy :)

 

After shopping, we headed home to have dinner with ku ma and family. After dinner, we went to the hotel again. Supposed to meet up with Brandon koko’s friend but it was cancelled. So we took…

    

A Chrysler limo to Clarke Quay. OMG!!! We’re really excited. The car very comfortable and a step softly on the accelerator, the car will go really fast. We felt like kings and queens of the night. It may be slightly more expensive than the normal taxi but it’s really worth the money and experience. It’s really comfortable inside that I don’t want to get down from the limo. Hehe.

 

Even Clarke Quay has air conditioner okay. We did not went into the clubs or pubs. Just wanted to walk around. After that, we took another taxi and headed to Geylang. We did not get down from the taxi once we reached Geylang. Instead, we asked the taxi driver to drove around that place to see if we can catch any prostitute along the road. According to the driver, the prostitutes seldom stand along the road anymore. They are inside the hotel where the customers will have to walk into the hotel lobby look for one. But we managed to see a few transvestites standing at the road side looking for customers though. Hehe. After that, we headed home because all of us are very tired.

We headed back to KL on the next day by bus. 

 

The lunch box served on the bus. The whitish thing don’t look like rice because it’s really thin and much longer than normal rice but it tasted exactly like rice. I still have no idea what it is. The curry chicken and omelette wasn’t bad though. I did not touch the red corn thingy. Eww…. disgusting. Haha.

 

Overall, the trip was okay. Could be better if we manage to enter Universal Studio though. Definitely will be back again for the Universal Studio. This time, we will purchase the tickets online!! Haha.
