Flinestone Era

Me and friends went to The Cave at SS2 the other day. I heard so much about this restaurant, so I'm very excited when I was told that we'll be going to for drinks. Haha. Happy happy! Due to excitement, I forgot to take a photo of the entrance and also surrounding of the restaurant.

Since it's a couple's restaurant, most of the room are for 2 person. Even the menu has food and beverages that are for couples. There were a few rooms that could fit 5 to 6 person. In each room, there are comfortable pillows where you could lean on to instead on the rough walls. According to Kitt-y, it's so comfortable that he felt like sleeping there. Haha.

Photobucket
All the walls of the restaurant are made of stones. You will have a feeling of being in the Flinestone movie. Haha.

Photobucket
In each room, there will be one hole that might be the speaker. Haha.

Photobucket
Since we went there after dinner, all of us ordered only drinks. Only Kitt-y and me shared this lamb chop. It was just average.

Photobucket
The atmosphere of the restaurant was really romantic even though we were sitting in the bigger room. CS and RY ordered a couple drink and .... their true love story blossomed from there. Haha. And they live happily ever after, forever and ever!!

On another day, I sent Cass to the old railway station to buy her bus ticket back to Penang. It's been a long time since I visited the railway station. The last time would be during form 1 or 2 where I would accompany my grandparents to Singapore by train. Back then, KL Central was not built yet.

I wonder what is the function of the old railway station now? According to Cass, she can buy her bus ticket back to Penang here and she will be boarding her bus there too. Other than that???? Any idea?? Anyone???

Second Holiday!!

Hello people. I'm back!! Miss me? Hehe. Actually I reached home on Wednesday night. Slept early that night and went out whole day on the following day with Cass and Kitt-y. Today is fishing day but end up with a nasty ending. Oh well....

Anyway, after my weekend visit to Penang with sis and friends, in less than 24 hours, I'm back in Penang again! Yes.. it is that crazy. Kitt-y and friends planned to go Penang on the same day I told him that I'll be going Penang with my sis and her friends. And the first day of journey was very similar. Started the journey 8am in the morning. Reached Ipoh around 10am and had breakfast at the same place, eating the same thing with different people. Haha. After that, continued our journey and reached Penang around 2pm. Met up with Cass and Wendy at Tesco and went to Cass's new house. We'll be staying with her for 3 days and 2 nights. Hehe. Introduced to Alvin who was super nice but being laughed at by other people. I joindayed in at first but felt really bad. Ended up keeping quiet when they joke about him. Maybe because I have a friend like him that I enjoyed very much being friends with. Suddenly, I missed him. Coincidently, my friend is from Penang too. Hehe.

Aihh... not much photo was taken because I left the memory card of my camera on my laptop. Took a few using my hp which was ultra slow.

Anyway, went for dinner at this beach side foodcourt. Oh, I forgot to mention that while we're in Penang, it rained... every... single... day!!! OMG!!! Although I enjoy rain, but not this much. The food at this foodcourt was okay. Edible. Hehe. Had a few interesting food that night that were not usually found in other foodcourts.

After that, we went to a cafe which I suddenly forgot it's name for drinks. Played truth or dare that night. Amazed by RenYi's playfullness. Haha. After that, we went for supper. Tried Penang's Hokkien mee which is similar to curry or prawn mee in KL. Tried the one just opposite Him Heang (a place that sell biscuit).

Photobucket
I ate only very small portion because I was too full and very tired that night. Went home and slept like a pig till the next morning.

Woke up early in the morning for dim sum at the same place again. Hehe. After dim sum, we went to buy biscuits at Him Heang. Since it was still raining, we went to Gurney Plaza for sing k session. Haha. Cass's voice was really really good. Hehe.

After that, we went to War Musuem. Kitt-y's favourite since he loves anything related to war.

A foot print that was left by the slaves/workers that built this fort.

Photobucket
Hole on the wall that was caused by a missile... I guess.

Photobucket
Koperal Kitt-y giving his speech. Haha.

This place really freaks me out. It looks really dark and scary. Some of the places have tools for torturing the soldiers captured. There were a few barracks of the soldiers. Torturing chamber. And so on. I dare not take photograph because I was too busy either covering my eyes or walking really fast. Haha.

After that, we went home and bathe. At night, we went for dinner at a normal restaurant but the food was quite good. Maybe everyone were very hungry at that time. After that, we went to a bistro at the seaside. We found a place to sit. Half of us went to the toilet while me, RenYi and Chai settled down. 2 minutes later, it started to rain. OMG!! Really suay. As we were leaving, I bumped into Fabian. Haha. I knew that he will be in Penang as he told me earlier but I never thought of actually bumping into him there. Hehe. Anyway, after all the disappointment, we decided to buy some beer and drink it at home. After buying the beer, they bought burgers from a chinese stall nearby where Kitt-y claimed that both chicken and beef burgers were really good. I can't judge because I ate only a small portion. I'm still full leh. Hehe.

When we reached home, they just settled down at the living room and drink the beer together. I'm not a big fan of beer hence I just sit there and watched them finish everything. Maybe I'm really tired. Went to bed after that.

The next morning, woke up really late and packed our bags. Cass followed us to KL since she has nothing to do in Penang. We went to Bukit Tambun for seafood. Great disappointment because the food tasted really awful.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Looks good but don't taste good. Especially the lala. OMG! Worst lala ever.

After that, we went to Taiping because Cass needs to deliver some biscuits to her aunty and she needs to get her laptop from her house. We initially wanted to go up a hill which I forgot the name but there were no car service to send us up the hill.

Photobucket
There's this stretch of road where each tree is more than 100 years old. According to Cass, a lot of couples choosed to take their wedding photographs here because the scenary is really beautiful.

Next, we went to the market area for Char Kuey Teow. Hehe.
Photobucket
Photobucket
The second plate was the special one because it was served with fishballs. Haha. Tasted so-so.

After that, we headed to Ipoh for taugeh chicken with my family at Bentong or something like that. It was really good. Hahaha. Better than Lou Wong. Way better.

Went back to KL after that. That's the brief entry about my holidays. Haha. Sorry about the brief-ness cause I'm really tired. Ohh, I visited an interesting place last night. Will blog about it next entry.

Penang Trip

Hey people!!! I'm back!!! Hehe. I went to Penang with sis and my friends on Sat morning for 2 days 1 night trip. It's basically a eating trip where we started to eat on Sat noon till Sunday evening.

Photobucket
Everytime I go back Ipoh, the car will pass by some mountains and one of them have this hole which I named it "Dinosaur Hole" because someone once told me that dinosaurs used to stay inside this mountain and the hole is the entrance/exit to it's "home". Haha. I think my grandpa told me that.

We went to Ipoh for lunch. I didn't take photos of the food because I left my camera in the car. Hehe. But Niki took photos of them. Just have to wait till she send me the photos.

After that, we went to Kek Lok Tong. It's a temple near to Sam Poh Tong.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
The buddha is missing it's hand!! I wonder what happened?!?!?!?

Photobucket
Me: I think it looks like a table with a table cloth on it.
Sis: Nah, I think it looks like waterfall.
Me: Okay. Acceptable. I saw one at the front that looks like a monkey looking at me.
Sis: Monkey? You can tell that it looks like monkey?
Me: Yeah la. Add in some imagination la please...
Sis: -_-" *speechless*

Photobucket
Somewhere in the middle part, there is this huge gate. Being a super coward, I dare not go near the gate to see what is inside because it is really really dark. Scary man. As I moved away from the gate, a bat flew out!! Luckily I didn't screamed "too" loud. Hehe.

Photobucket
Behind the hill, there is this big garden that none of us went down because it's too sunny. Haha.

Photobucket
Don't this plant looks cute? Hehe.

After that, we went to buy pomelo.
Photobucket
There is this row of shops that sell pomelo. When we parked our car, each stall's representative young girls wearing quite sexily will stand in the middle of their entrance. Hoping that you will buy pomelo from them. It's funny. And each stall has it's own number too.

Photobucket
I think sis went into the No.10 stall.

After shopping for pomelo, we continued our journey to Penang. We reached there around 6 pm. After settling down, we went out for dinner. There is this famous place where there are a lot of hawker stalls lining up on both sides. There were Char Kueh Teow, cendol, asam laksa and others.

Photobucket
Part of our food. We ordered one type of food from each stall. Hence, the table was filled with food. Seriously, not all of them are nice. Quite disappointed though. Met Catherine there. I always bumped into her when I go out. Haha.

After that, we went to Queensbay Mall to shop just a little and chatting session at Starbucks.

Sis wanted to eat mochi so we went to Gurney drive for supper. I was surprised to see a lot of people sitting at the side there in the middle of the night just staring at the sea. Some just sit there with friends. Spotted a few Malay families with little kids there too. Way past bedtime. Haha. Anyway, the mochi was really good. Still warm.

The next morning, we went out for early dim sum breakfast.
Photobucket
This place looks like a huge food court but they only serve dim sum in the morning. Bump into WS there. Haha. Small world right. He's from Penang. Anyway, the dim sum was so so.

After that, we visited a Thai temple and the Burmese temple just opposite it.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
I have seen photos of this Reclining Buddha a few thousand times but this is my first time seeing it in real life. Smaller than my expectation. Oh well..

Behind the huge buddha statue, there is one row of smaller buddha statues, each representing an animal in Chinese zodiac.
Photobucket
Notice what are behind those buddha statues??

Photobucket
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!! Okay, i found it funny :p

Photobucket
This is for tiger. Me me me me me me.

Photobucket
Each of these statues represent one day of the week.

After that, we went to the Burmese temple.
Photobucket

Behind the big statues are...
Photobucket
two rows of smaller statues. I forgot what each of them represents. Haha.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Smaller statues lining on the walls near the ceiling. So cool!!

Photobucket
A monk blessing a man. First time observing a blessing ceremony. Hehe.

After that, we went for biscuit shopping. The mascots of the shop were really cute. Hehe. Love the rabbit tooth on one of them. Hehe.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

After that, we went for asam laksa near a pasar at Air Hitam, near the Kek Lok Si. Hehe. It was way better than the one that we had the night before. After that, we went back to KL and...

Photobucket
a huge plastic bag stuck in front of the car while our car travelling along the Penang bridge. Hahahaha. It was really funny. The car that past by us gave us a weird look. Hehe. Very paiseh lor. We can't stop laughing till we reached the R&R. Once the car stop, the plastic bag dropped on the floor and we continued our journey after that. Haha.

Stopped at Bidor for Duck noodles. Bought some biscuits and fruits. Hehe. After that, went home straight.

Sorry for the brief entry because I'm really tired. Have to rest as tomorrow I'm heading off for holiday with Kitt-y and friends. Will update when I'm back on Wednesday. Hehe.

Selamat Hari Raya people.

First visit to Wendy's

My final year presentation was yesterday. Was really nervous the whole morning till halfway through the presentation, I felt much calm. Haha. It's normal for me. My panels were Dr Mohamed, Dr Sit and Dr Tang. They are really nice. During the Q & A session, a few funny moments happened. Haha.

Dr. Mohamad: You mentioned indoor air pollution may cause disease to human beings. Can you name a few diseases?
Me: (panic) Erm... Legonnaire's disease and sick building syndrome.
I was supposed to elaborate more on those 2 disease but I forgot about the description for both disease. I just smile nervously at Dr Mohamed. At the same time I had this sparkling watery eyes looking at him, as those kesian type. He wanted to open his mouth to say something but when he saw my look, he just smiled and never ask me for further explanation!!! Phew... lucky. Thank you Dr. Mohamed. Hehe.

Dr. Sit: You used bacillus subtilis in your study. Why didn't you use bacillus cereus since both of them come from the same family, which is bacillus?
Me: (panic) This is cause when I collect the bacteria culture from the lab, they do not have this bacteria sample yet.
OMG!! I blamed the lab. I was not supposed to say this but then I don't know what to answer. I think the answer was supposed to be bacillus subtilis can form colonies which make quantification process easier while bacillus cereus form spores. So, it's hard to count them. I think it's something like that. Anyway, Dr. Sit smiled again. Haha. Hopefully he will accept my answer. Haha.

I was told that I'm lucky because the lecturer didn't gave me a hard time during Q & A session. As for Nay Wah, she gave a wrong answer and her panel keep on pin-pointing at her answers. OMG. Pity.

Anyway, I'm relieved that everything had ended. Still waiting for the result to be out. Hope that I pass all the subjects. *praying really super hard*

After the presentation, I went to the hair saloon with TW. I wanted to colour my hair since the grey hairs are getting more visible. Hate it when that happens. Oh well, have to colour hair again. Money fly away again. Aihh, my hair is my most treasure possesion which is also the part that I spent a lot of money on. Hehe. Happy when have nice hair. TW had a hair cut yesterday and am relieved when she's satisfied with the cut. I was really worried that she might not like it since Tom cut her hair till shoulder length. Wanted to cam whore with TW but she refused to do so :( nvm, it's okay. She doesn't like to take pics. Hehe.

After that, we went to Wendy's for brunch. But it was already 3pm. Hehe. Both of us never tried Wendy's before. I suggested that place because I heard that their burgers are quite nice. That place was recommended by Sue and Tom too. They said the shrimp burger was nice. Something special and different. The nuggets were nice too but a little bit expensive. Beef burger was nice too.

Photobucket

This is my meal. The price was nearly the same with McD. I had Shrimp burger since I'm a big fan of seafood and I never have a shrimp burger before. Hehe.

Photobucket

This is how the burger looks like. TW had beef burger. She said the mustard tasted a bit weird. Haha.

Well, that is basically what I did yesterday. Oh yeah, something is wrong with Kitt-y's laptop screen.

Photobucket
I've circled the problems in red. I have no idea what is wrong with the laptop. All these 3 things suddenly appeared on the screen in different time. I told Kitt-y about it and he has no idea what is wrong too. He said use till the laptop "died" then only change to a new one. Haha. I'm sorry Mr Laptop. Did I treat you badly?? Are you okay??

Oh yeah, I forgot to post this up. Wai Leng has new hamster. Well she used to have 2 new hamster but 1 ran away. Hence left..
Photobucket
It is a he because you can see the male reproductive system there. Haha.

Photobucket
Photobucket
His eating habit is really weird. When you feed him, he will stuff everything into his mouth till it's full and run back to his "safe" place where he will spit everything out! Haha. I am not able to take a photo of him with his swollen mouth full of food cause he move really fast. Anyway, Wai Leng said this breed of hamster eat this way. Hehe. So cute.

Any suggestion on what I should do during my holidays??? I have nothing to do with no car to go out with friends. No place to go and ..... Please give me suggestions on what I can do at home!!
