Me and Calvin seldom go to Pavillion because it’s really near our working place and the last thing that we want to do on our weekend will be going anywhere near our working area. Haha. But there were times when he would go to my office to pick me up from work and we would look for a place nearby to have our dinner and to wait for the traffic jam to subside before sending me home. Hehe.
I suggested Tony Romas to Calvin since he has never been to the place before as my “leuk” dinner to him.
The sauces that they have to go together with your meal. I suggested Calvin poured a little bit of each sauce before deciding which he wanted. Hehe. I guess he preferred the original sauce more.
Our refillable drinks. I ordered apple juice and he ordered orange juice. We did not ask for refill as because we were really stuffed at the end of our meal. If you take a look of our main course, you will know why. Hehe.
In order for Calvin to savours most of the Tony Romas specialty, I ordered chicken with ribs and he ordered the sirloin steak. It was also my first time trying their chicken, which was quite good. It was grilled with the BBQ sauce and the meat was really juicy. At first I just wanted a Caesar’s Salad for my *ahem*diet*ahem* but then I could not resist the temptation of meat from Tony Romas. Hehe. Their ribs were cooked until very soft and it doesn’t stick to the bone. Plus their fries was really good, Calvin finished almost all of my fries. Hehe. His sirloin steak was medium well. Quite soft and not too chewy. I loved the boiled broccoli (replacement of my Caesar’s Salad.. hehehe).
I’m glad that he enjoyed the meal. We went there on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed with customers. After dinner, we enjoyed our drinks will chatting our nights away. I just love the way we spend a Friday night. It’s always simple and slow with a recap of the week’s gossip over a nice meal like Tony Romas or just simple chinese cuisine like our favourite TTK Bak Kut Teh. Haha.
