Waterlily

I totally forgot about Waterlily, the place for our girls outing. Hehe. It was like one month ago when we visited Waterlily and I totally forgot to blog about it. Haihhh……. that is just another concrete proof of my aging process. Hehe.

Waterlily is located very near to the Tropicana Bungalows and Country Club. Since Mei Yee wanted something near to her house, this is the place that Hsiao Shin suggested that we could give it a try. We never tried Balinese food before as our girls outing dinner :)

I have made a table reservation for us because it was Puasa month and we were in a large group that time. So to avoid sitting separately, I called up the night before to make a table reservation. Me, Calvin and Jonny were the first 3 to arrive. So Calvin had the chance to walk around the restaurant and took some photographs for me.

The restaurant was decorated, well Balinese style. It felts like we were in Indonesia at that time and we’re in a very expensive restaurant with huge tables and chairs. Hehe. They have indoor and outdoor tables to cater for smoking and non-smoking customers. Our tables are on the first floor. I love their outdoor area where they have long bench and pillows. Suitable for girls talk/gossip. Haha.

Another place that I love is the toilet basin area. I asked Calvin to take a photo of that area because it was superbly decorated. I love the huge flower piece in the middle and the basins are really pretty. It gave me a new inspiration for my dream house. Hehe.

The portion of the main course was really huge and we have to share our meal with Keng Fei, who was fortunately sitting just beside me. Haha. I have never try Balinese food before and I must say I quite like it. Maybe it’s because of most of their food are spicy and a little bit sour, perfect for me :) This place is recommended if you would like to try Balinese food and also to hang out with your friends, talk heart to heart over drinks, and catching up with each other busy life. Hehe.

After dinner, we went over to Mei Yee’s house for girls talk until around 4am in the morning. We talked everything, from our past, present and our future as well. I just love girls talk. But once the light is off, I dozed off and completely lost track of what the girls were talking at that time. Hehe.

The food looks amazing, love the way everything is served on banana (?) leaves. I'll have to make some table reservations next time in the area, treat my friends for the night.
